, do you work in the sunlight? Your doc should have told you that you

shouldn't be in the sun

while on MTX. Iris

Hi Iris - I am an outside sales rep - in and out of my car. I have

a pretty good tan - don't try - but it just happens. I am concerned

with what is going to happen now with the exposure because I go from

my car to customers all day long.

I just asked my rheumy about sun exposure, he had never mentioned it

but I read it on the label or on the web. He said some people have

problems with sun while on mtx. I have a 4 year old so we go to the

park quite often, swimming too sometimes. I always wear sunscreen.

My rheumy said some people have problems and the sun gives them a

rash. He said keep wearing sunscreen and if I have problems with my

skin then try to avoid the sun more. Of course, you might want to

ask your rheumy next time you talk to him and not just take my

advice.
