Guest guest
, I appreciate this information a bunch, but there are many people, like myself, who become excessively depressed on even low doses of prednisone. It's a catch 22. It may be much different with arthritis to use pulse dosing with prednisone, I'll give everyone that.....but it also feels very hopeless. Guest guest
Hello there, Abby! I'm not sure what you mean about what I posted. The last batch of corticosteroid-related E-mails I sent were intended to illustrate typical dosages of corticosteroids used in RA and point out that high-dose corticosteroid therapy is not recommended for most cases. My personal opinion about prednisone is that its most common usage in RA should be only as a bridging therapy; that is, corticosteroids should be used for a short time and at modest dosages until the DMARDs begin to take effect. I'll tell you where to go!
