I'm Jan in AZ...

and I just had to add my two cents worth to everyone's thank yous.

You are so funny and you have me rolling on the floor....and goodness knows it

is about the best exercise you can do...unless you have tender points from the

FMS.

Please keep it up.....I have been in a mild depression lately (still

functioning) but tend not to get the old body moving as I should to do the

things I enjoy doing.

First your poetry moved me and then the humor....really had me going.

For those of you that know me...AZ and I are getting along beautifully. I'm

taking my grandson over to San Diego on Saturday the 18th and while he is

visiting his dad for a couple of days, I will be hanging my hat on a girlfriends

sofa until the 23rd until we return. I will be bringing my granddaughter who is

just a day older than my grandson to stay with us for 15 days. It's going to be

lots of fun to get two 10 year olds together who both want to compete for mema's

attention. Course, Jasmine is leaving four brothers and sisters back home and

is welcoming being away for a few days (she's 2nd in birth order) whereas,

Richie has no one to compete with living with me unless his 4 1/2 year old

brother visits.

I am still having problems with the builders after all these months...but things

are finally beginning to be completed...since I complained to the corporate

office...maybe...just maybe January may bring some closure to everything that

should have been done and the things they tried to stick me with (or without).

I still have many things in storage and most of the Christmas decorations are

there and I don't know where to lay my hands on them. The tree is here...though

I don't know how...and Richie is happy about that.

I had a long 7 week bout with pneumonia through the end of October and most of

November...and that is when they decided my mild COPD is no longer mild. I am

to see a Pulmonologist as soon the Dr will give me an appointment. Wonder what

it would have been like if I had ever smoked? My hands and feet have been

giving me pure holy Ned lately....along with the neuropathy and they were

ex-rayed. I was given one positive note, and bone spurs throughout your

feet....you don't have RA so be thankful. "

Since last July, I no longer take any painkiller (just extra-strength Tylenol to

take the edge off), tranquilizer, or anti-depressant...they were not doing me

any good and only served to take away my functioning abilities. The Fibro Fog

was never like the daze I was in.....I can handle the Fibro Fog but this was way

beyond that...it was as if I was heavily drugged.

I have a great Internist at Luke AFB who really works with me, however, we are

debating whether or not I will go with another Internist who is a woman and I

have seen almost as many times as I have seen him as he is the head of Internal

Medicine and is always busy or booked way ahead. When I had the pneumonia

though..he saw me on his lunch. The woman Dr is very good and knows FMS quite

well and understands me as a woman when I talk of how certain things affect me.

Well....where did I start this...Oh yes...I was talking to Ken...let me say to

him again...don't ever lose your sense of humor....it is great.

To all the new ones in this my RA family....this is a wonderful group and to the

old ones...we are still hanging in there, aren't we? I may not post often but I

know each and everyone of you as if I did and we were exchanging back and forth.

it. Be sure to smile because it is your first line of defense against all odds.
