Are you in harm's way of either of these storms?

Just wanted to let you know that Esther was in hospital again. We were afraid

that

her left knee replacement was infected as she had the same symptoms that she

had

on her right knee 13 years ago. Pain, swelling, but no fever. Even her calf

hurt. Come to find out that she has a DVT Blood clot behind that knee. She is

in a lot of pain.

Was hospitalized for ten days....came home yesterday. Is on a Coumadin therapy

and the doctor may

also use Lovelox injections too. Sometimes I wished that we just went with not

having

a new knee put in. Her right leg is amazing without a knee and bends really

well. Right

now her knee is in a frozen position because of the pain. Doctor doesn't want

to do

manipulation under annestesia (spg?) because is afraid to break her femur. So,

she has

a lot of manuel manipulation and therapy ahead of her again :(.

So, have you missed the Jersey tomatoes? We have had a weird summer so far.

Can't say that it was too hot as of yet....and a lot of rain. My brother's

garden did

not produce the Pole Lima Beans for some reason this year. I love them and will

miss having my belly full of them. LOL. I could make a meal on just the corn

and limas.

Can you get Tastykakes down there? My son always want them when they come

visiting from Georgia and my daughter-in-law loves them too LOL. Would have

written this personally but I don't have your correct e-mail addy. You show up

only

as a54 on my e-mails.

Gentle hugs,

Carol, Esther's Mom
