Guest guest
Hi Sierra I'm surpised none of the meds help you sleep. What are the doses? Halcion is a bebzodaizepaine also and not as comonly used. I hae no idea what other meds you are on i am guessing hat either a med you are on or something you eat is interacting with the enzyme that breaks down Benzodizepines It shouild take a while to devlope a tolrance to them at least a month, and if you only take themn once aday it might take even longer. ahiger does might help 2mgs of Klonopin will put most ople out in about an hour . 2 mgs of Ativan and you are out also . Try to see if you can get a perscription fo trazodne and Ativan or Xanax 2mgs of eithr and 100 mgs of trazodone and mostfolks are sleping soudly for hours. If you rally cannot sleep Seroquel will work 100 mgs will have you sleping for hopurs on end . i use it once in a while ot get ot sleep it works faster and better thn trazodone . Ihave that alos as Ihave a lot of touble with sleep and it is getting worse. but i am not really comfortable talking bouthat on a list. If I take 2 mg ox Xanax and 100 mgs of seroquell I might fall asleep in a few hours and sleep for a while usually 5 - 6 hours though at one tiome if i took seroquel at 100 mgs I would sleep for up to 24 hours or more! only getting up to um relive my self . though it does give you really wierd dreams. Try to see if you can get say 2mgs of Klonpin nad 100 mgs of Trazodone. I am afraid of Ambien and lunesta. ask for a incrase in dosage of Klonopin it is much safer than haclion or a combo of Klonpin and either Trazodone and Klonopin at 2mgs or 100 mgs of seroquel but you will have a tough tim getting upo so go to bed ealier. Let us know how it works . Well you can come out to Aspen and take a llama pack trip to Conundrum Hot springs. We do not have AC and he is nice and comfy for sleeping Aspen Valley Hosptial is nice also . I hope you can get some sleep . Guest guest
--- " Sierra Mist " wrote: > I wanted to know what the rest of you have taken for sleep and how > it worked? > Hi Sierra - I like Sonata. It's like Ambien, but it wears off in a shorter period of time. So it works well if you have trouble falling asleep, but not as much trouble staying asleep once you get there. Anyway, I don't wake up as groggy as on Ambien because it's worn off in about 4 hours instead of 8. There's also another new drug out there, that is NOT a hypnotic like all the Ambien/Lunesta/Sonata types. It's called Rozarem, and has a completely different method of action. It also supposedly isn't dependence-producing, which would be a great thing long term. Check it out at www.rozarem.com. I haven't taken it myself, but read about it recently in Consumer Reports, and they thought highly of it. It doesn't work as fast as the hypnotics (that is, will take longer to actually fall asleep), but as long as it works.... BTW, thank you for your earlier email to me about my stomach problems. The Aciphex the doctor gave me seems to be helping. I'm able to eat again (only very bland foods) without ending up doubled over in agony, and the nausea has subsided too, only coming up a couple of times a day instead of all day/every day. That's a big improvement. I'm still dreading trying to get my feet under me enough to start teaching on Tuesday - not sure how it's going to happen since I'm still so weak after being sick for three straight weeks (first a bad flu virus, then this ulcer/gastritis). But it will happen, one way or another. I'm rearranging my teaching plans so all I'll do on Tuesday is hand them the syllabus, go over the course requirements, take their pictures and let them go. I usually start the semester as I intend it to continue, and because my course is one of the toughest of their requirements both in terms of material and time commitment, I keep them for the whole first class period with an interactive learning activity to introduce the material. Not this semester. They'll get off easy. I'll just have to find some way to catch up the missed time later in the semester, somewhere - it's surprising how much a lost hour costs in a short semester! But that's all I'm going to be able to physically manage by Tuesday, I'm afraid. Cheryl in AZ

Guest guest
I take Rozerm, and it is wonderful! It is not addictive and you will be falling asleep within 30 minutes. I sleep very sound and do not wake up (except to visit the bathroom) for 7 hours. I am not groggy the next day, fully awake! Gwen
