Guest guest
Hi, Lindy and Shirley, sorry to " horn in " on your post.....we had a discussion about this a few weeks ago and my Rheumatologist told me to take the MTX (building it up of course) to 5 a week taking one each DAY for five days a week, and I got deathly ill. The reason I know she said this is my husbandwas sitting in the the room with me! I asked him and re-asked him, " Honey are you sure this is how she said to take the medication? " He said yes. Now my husband is not a uneducated person, he is a metallurgical engineer. So he fully understood what the Doctor said. Well I was very, very ill a week ago last Saturday and Sunday. I could not go out of this house if I had wanted to. Then my mom who used to be a nurse got out her PDR (Physicians Desk Reference on Medications) and read up on MTX and said I was prescribed it totally WRONG. Even someone in here told me and I am so sorry, I cannot remember your name, BLESS YOUR HEART YOU TRIED TO TELL ME AND I EVEN WENT TO THE PHARMACIST!!!!! HOLY COW!!!! Well my liver enzymes are not good so two doctors took me off of it anyway. Anyone who takes it just ask a LOT of questions. AS WITH ANY MEDICATION. Your body and brain are your best assets!!!!!! Use them to the best of your ability!! Love all of you, Nan lem820 <lem820@...> wrote: Could it be methotrexate???...Usually folks who take that drug take more than one, though??..I take that drug once a week, Sundays, 5 pills at a time.
