Guest guest
We are currently participating in the largest and most ambitious research study of the genetics associated with rheumatoid arthritis. The North American Rheumatoid Arthritis Consortium (NARAC) is conducting this study at North Shore/LIJ Health Systems, Manhasset, NY. Patients affected with rheumatoid arthritis who have two living parents are eligible to take part in this important study- the purpose of which is to identify genetic factors associated with the disease. Participation is relatively easy. You and your parents will be asked to sign consent forms and submit blood samples. The blood samples that you contribute will be analyzed and the information will be recorded for the study. This data will help NARAC researchers better understand the cause of rheumatoid arthritis. Please understand that participation is entirely voluntary and that all medical information will be kept strictly confidential. There is no cost to you or your parents to participate. If you are interested in the study and would like more information, kindly contact our office at 1-800-382-4827. Thank you.
