Here's something interesting for you to mull over. There's a woman

in my aquatherapy group who shows all the signs of Dercum's. I am

going with her Friday to the dermatologist. While she has been

seeing several doctors in the area here, diagnosed with " unspecified

muscle disease " they put her on the same meds I was on, but most

recently on MTX, which did help her pain. BUT, that is also when she

started developing the most lipomas! She said she's always had the

lumps (well, always meaning the last few years) but these new ones

just starting popping out when she started the MTX, similar to when I

started the alpha interferon. If I'm not wrong, isn't there a

relation between the 2 drugs?

Judi, MTX-induced nodulosis, especially in RA, is a known phenomenon.

It's not perfectly understood, but here's a good review:
