Guest guest
I'm not sure what test you are referring to, Jan. Can you provide any other clues? I'll tell you where to go! Mayo Clinic in Rochester http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester s Hopkins Medicine http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org [ ] Question for a and > Dear a and : > > I had a doctor appointment today and I still like this doctor. He takes the time to listen to me and is trying to get to the bottom of things so he can make my life a little less painful. DID NOT prescribe any additional meds....he listened to me the last time I saw him and actually heard me when I said I don't want to be given a medicine to " see if this will take care of the problem. " ....I want to know what and why and then we can go from there. I don't know if I mentioned after the last appointment, he did several blood tests on me...11 vials...a record for me. He went over some of the reports today and one of the tests he said he was a little concerned with and is going to go further in that direction. We got off on something else and we both forgot to go back to the test. This is basically what I can remember about it. He said it is a rare test....not usually ordered. I think he said something about a missing gene (may be in my head on this one). It did measure the > protein in the system and he was concerned as they get worried when a patient has a low count of 70 and mine was 71. Then we were off on other things. He is ordering a sonigram of my abdomen as I have a dull, continuous ache on my right side that used to be occasional but is just about always there. I always thought it was my ovary clear back before menopause even, however, he says it's to high for ovaries. I have two appointments coming up before going back to him on the 2nd of September. He has me going to the Cardiologist (1st)and having a bone density, osteoarthritis test (20th). > > We are in a severe storm watch here as we were last night. Got some thunder, lightning, and rain last night but never know if will it will materialize. > > Also, my friend and neighbor has just come in so must run....thanks for anything you can come up for me. > > Jan in AZ =^..^=
