Guest guest
I want to share my best memory from this Christmas with yall. My baby girl is 17, a senior this year, an honor student, and an awesome Godly young woman. I have been a " gimp " her whole life, and she never complains or asks for anything. When we were Christmas shopping, she saw this absolutely beautiful prom-type dress, size 3, it looked like a little doll dress- Cinderella or a fairy princess, all gold and white and fluffy skirt. She tried it on just for fun, knowing there was no way we could afford it anyway, even though it was very reasonable for that kind of dress. She was so cute, twirling & dancing in front of the mirror in her pony tail and sweatsocks, no makeup on, and just sparkling. Everyone was watching her and smiling. So we put it back up and went home, but we talked about how pretty it was, and I could tell she wanted that dress more than anything she had ever wanted, but she tried to act like it was no big deal so I wouldn't feel bad. So,long story short,I get a very unexpected check from her dad in the mail that would not even BEGIN to fix my car, but would pay for the dress and a few other things if we were very careful with the budget. For once in her life, I wanted to give her something that she deserved but would never expect. I went and picked up the dress that afternoon and hung it in her room. She did not notice it at first, then she screamed, burst into tears, bounced around like a little kangaroo, ran around the apartment, jumped " carefullly " into my lap, kissed all over my face, called every one of her girlfriends, and cried some more. I have never seen more joy in one little body in my life. It felt so good to be able to do something like that for her. She deserves every good thing that life has to offer her. So that was my Christmas miracle- being overwhelmed by joy. Hope this brings a smile to yall too. Love jane
