Guest guest
, I suppose it could be the naproxen or the MTX or the combination that is causing the grogginess. I don't have experience with either drug. I hope that someone who has will share their experiences with you. Hope it will subside soon. Did you have the same problems with MTX the first time you were on it? Have you asked your rheumatologist for help? Side effects of naproxen from RxList.com: http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/naprox_ad.htm Side effects of methotrexate from RxList.com: http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/mtx_ad.htm I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
Naproxen shouldn't make you feel groggy. Naproxen is similar to Aleve that you get over the counter only in a little stronger form. It is an antiinflamm. That is great that it is giving you the comfort you need. What method of Methotrexate are you on (pills, injection, liquid mixed wtih juice)? I would think that since you have been off of the Methotrexate for a while that you are going to have to build it back up in your body again to get used to it. Did you used to have these problems when you were on it 2 years ago. Just some questions to try and help out. Please don't feel you need to answer all my questions. Guest guest
I am always fatigued so I don't know if the Naproxen makes it worse. Becky [ ] medication questions Hi everyone. I am new to this group and have some questions that I hope someone will be able to answer. My rheumatologist just prescribed Naproxen for my wrist pain. I have been on 500mg twice a day for about 3 days. It really helps with the pain but I find I feel quite groggy. Is this just me or has anone else felt this? If so, does it go away as your body adjusts? Also, I am back on methotrexate after a 2 year break. Any suggestions for the day after nausea and mouth sores? Thanks. Guest guest
I also doubt that the naproxen is making me feel groggy. Perhaps it's just being the mother of a teenager? My brain cells are atrophying by the minute! I did have these problems when I was on methotrexate before. I guess I don't really want to get back on it again but from everything I have read, the combo of enbrel and methotrexate works well. Thanks for your responses. I really appreciate it. --- In , " Jim/Terri Hauff " <JimH@t...> wrote: > Naproxen shouldn't make you feel groggy. Guest guest
Hi and welcome to the group. The only problem I ever had with Naproxen was that it made my blood pressure jump way up. I think that's from the water retention. Celebrex works much better for me. > > Naproxen shouldn't make you feel groggy.
