Hi Joe We are paying a physician, for her knowledge, BUT procedures are where the big bucks are made. That is one reason, why the pain specialists, who are often anesthesiologists, push all the various injections. Some of the various steroid injections, can help, but the prices are ridiculous. Nurse anesthetists, do these procedures too, but I don't know if they are any cheaper. I believe the physicians, are far too quick to recommend these, and gloss over the possible side effects, some of which are very, very serious. Here is a good link about the various injections: http://tinyurl.com/jbkf6 Here is an excellent link about adhesive Arachnoiditis one of, if not the worst possible adverse reaction to steroid injections: http://tinyurl.com/fnnkm Kaylene Moderator __________________________________________________
