Guest guest
Dennis, I even had TMJ in my jaw bone for a few weeks from my RA. It wasn't any fun at all. It sounds as though you do have a very aggressive case. What meds have you been on, and what are you on now? Guest guest
Wherever I go, I always seem to find someone worse than me. It makes my problems seem insignificant. My niece was injured in a car wreck 20 years ago, before she was born. A blood vein in her brain started bleeding. Blood kills brain matter, so she was born with only basic motor skills to sustain life but that's all. She wasn't supposed to live for more than 5 years, but she's fooled all of us. The meds I'm taking haven't changed much in the last 14 years. I'm taking: MTX started at 3 tablets (.3cc) at $4.00 per pill! each week, now injecting 1cc at about $2.50 per Prednesone varies from 5 to 15 mg per day Clinoril/Sulendac 400 mg per day Darvocett/Vicadin as needed, and boy do I need them sometimes! Folic acid 1 mg per day until recently, now 2 per day ..6 mg Colchicine for swelling, not taking it at this time Blood Pressure meds and relaxers that help I've tried Vioxx that made me swell badly in my left leg. It seems that I shouldn't have been offered it because it doesn't work with my blood pressure meds. An example of uninformed doctlrs/nurses. I also tried Celebrex. It made my lower intestines hurt and cramp within 3 days. It went into the trash. I'm not sure that my original rheumy knew what I needed, just responded to symptoms and complaints only. The new one was going to have me running and jumping in a month. Well, he didn't tell my body 'cause it just said, " Huh? " He also has a coupld of my friends as patients, and one went worse and worse, and finally had to quit working and is now almost helpless. Not exactly a ringing endorsement....
