Guest guest
I have always been slightly shubby. Dad used to " treat " me with Hostess Twinkies, etc...Anyway, I am 5' 7 " and I weighed 135 when I got married 31 years ago. I battled with 15 pounds from age 17 until 1998, then after I had serious thyroid cancer, with 4 neck surgeries within 3 years, and the removal of the last adrenal gland, my 15 lbs., became 40 lbs... within a few short months. So... I am committed to losing 35 more lbs., for myself, because I deserve to be able to enjoy my life, with more energy and vigor. Plus, grandchildren, are somewhere in the future... Yes, I can't wait to " look " great....and feel like doing what ever. My leader told me that I would have a hard time losing weight, because I have to take steroids to live. I have lost 8 1/2 lbs in 4 weeks....I AM COMMITTED!!!!!!
Guest guest
Call it maturity or something.... not quite sure..... I've been overweight since I was a young girl (according to my parents...). When I was in high school, I was prescribed diet pills and became immune to them. I've done every diet known to man.... lost it, and gained it and more. I had a hysterectomy in 1998, followed by 4 hand surgeries, and then more abdominal surgery (to remove the ovary left) where I lost a lot of blood and had several transfusions. I gained more weight after my recovery. In April I became a grandmother. I knew then that I wanted to have FUN with my granddaughter. In July I felt so awful that I knew I had to LOSE WEIGHT for my HEALTH. That concept has made all the difference. Yes, I have days when I go over my points. And I feel TERRIBLE (physically). I know that this is now my way of life, but it's one I can work. I started on July 21st at 246 pounds, and my goal is 150 pounds (big bones - LOL). I haven't seen 150 pounds since I was 12 years old. I'm currently at 219.5 which feels good!!! I am COMMITTED to this program, and COMMITTED to becoming healthy. The " looking good " aspect is just the frosting on the cake (without POINTS). I am COMMITTED to this list, to make it the BEST WW list on the net...... with fun, encouragement, learning, and whatever else Lyn and I concoct. But we can only do it with YOUR COMMITTMENT!!! Whoohoo! Hugs, ...· ´¨¨)) -:¦:- ¸.·´ .·´¨¨)) ((¸¸.·´ ..·´ Connie -:¦:- -:¦:- ((¸¸.·´*
