Guest guest
HI All... The weather just changed here in New Orleans from nearly 75 degrees to where its going to be in the low 30's tomorrow, and colder on Friday and Saturday. Today has been rough as I was up on my feet a lot on Saturday and my body from the waist down is in misery. Adding cold weather on top is going to be no fun at all. I wish I had a full time job to go to, but all my experience has been in retail management and I am no longer able to perform my job...so " they " say...so I only work part-time at a testing center. I don't complain...as I know many have no work or cannot get out at all...so I do what I can. I miss working full-time and know I could work more hours if allowed to rest and/or sit for a while...as I love being around people. I actually miss the hectic work schedule of Christmas...I loved all the people I got to see and interact with. It was fun watching the children look at all the items their parents were buying, and I miss the being exhausted at the end of the long days of Christmas. Then I knew with 8 hours of rest I would be ready and able to get back to work and meet a whole new crowd of people that day. I was born to be in retail! Tonight though...despite the fact we have to return my Christmas present because we need the money to pay bills and buy food...I was so happy. My wife, Mother-in-law and myself sat and watched my 3 Bichons Frises play in the living room and kitchen for nearly 2 hours before they wore themselves out! Their tails were wagging the whole time, and all of the aches and pains and money woes seemed to not exist for that short period of time. We sat in the livingroom watching an old movie..I believe the original " Cheaper By the Dozen " with Henry Fonda and Lucy Ball. Then I had to get up as my legs were hurting so much I had to come sit in my computer room...as this chair seems to soothe my aching bones for some reason or another. Well...thanks for letting me have my own little whine....its nice to have someplace to vent. Jane...if you enjoy C.S. ...rent one of my favorite movies about him, Shadowlands. Shows the more human side of the man...one of my all time favorite movies. I bought it the moment it came out on video. I know that God has a reason for everything, and I have faith that everything that touches my life passes through His hands.Like C.S. said, I don't doubt God's will for my life. I just don't necessarily like how painful that will might be at times. Please be praying that I will not give in to the temptation to get either mad or depressed especially this week of all weeks- Christmas. I only have about a 30 minute drive to work so it isn't too bad, just 25 miles or so, and a lot of people don't even have jobs to go to. I know I'm just being a baby but it sure takes a while to thaw out at the office. thanks for listening.

Guest guest
Larry, it's very cold here in Oklahoma, trying to stay warm. It's really bad on our old bodies, I'm sorry that things are not very good right now, but it will get better, I promise. Just when you think it gets tough, something amazing happens, when you least expect it. This New Year coming in will be a beginning of better days for all of us, Tawny > > > hey yall. i am recovering (i hope) from the Flare from Hell & the > heater has gone out in my car and it's going to be in the 20's this > week.
