Guest guest
I'm not going to do all the other beliefs, because I feel like either the first one took care of it, or this next one does: Belief: I can control what people think of me. 1) Is it true? No. - Whose business is it? Theirs 2) Can you absolutely know it's true? No 3) How do you react when you think that thought? I worry about my looks, my ability to be witty or fascinating enough... I look for compliments... 4) Who would you be without that thought? I would just dress for myself... not worry about what others thought... be okay with awkward silences, etc. Turnaround to myself: I can control what I think of me. (Much more true. And yet, only by watching my thoughts). to the other: Others can't control what they think of me. (I think there's A LOT of truth to this. Their nature and nurture determine so much of this... it has nothing to do with them OR me!) to the opposite: I can't control what people think of me. (Yup. That's right.) Guest guest
another thougtht: Would you really want to control what others think of you? they might have a very positive thought (eg. what a marvelous hostess, look at all the trouble she went to) that you've never had about yourself. Vivian The rest of the beliefs: I can control what people think of me.
