I was FINALLY diagnosed with RA, Ulcerative colitis and a auto immune

thyroid condition a little less than a year ago. I have been doing

ok, except for the fatique, for some months now. I'm on Humira every

other week, MTX weekly, pills for the last month because injectable

isn't available, folic acid, 9 Asacol 3X3 daily, .075 synthryoid, 20

MG prosaic, proxicam 20mg daily and a bunch of vitamins. My problem

is a cough. I have had a cough for a couple of months. It's not that

I cough all the time, it's like I'm on the phone at work and I begin

to cough. It doesn't stop, I cough and cough, very deep. Two weeks

ago I went to my GP, he put me on a " Z " pack for the cough and my

ears were red. The cough went away last week. i actually had people

at work telling me, You're not coughing now! I hadn't coughed at

night and then I stopped during the day. Last Friday evening I

injected my Humira and took my MTX and by Sat afternnon I was

coughing. This time was worse. I coughed all weekend, every night and

last night my right lung began to hurt. By today I was in " lung " pain

if I tried to pick something up, leaned over, especaially coughed. I

saw my GP this afternoon and he didn't hear anything, but prescribed

an inhaler. I honestly feel this cough is from one of my meds,

probably the MTX. Has anyone had any problems with a cough while on

this or any of my other meds?

I realize this a long post, but I had an experiance in a hospital in

Northern VA, ended up I owed $22,000.00 after insureance. NO WAY!! I

went to the accounting department of the Hospital and offered them

$2000.00 to settle the bill. In jibberish I was told to wait until

after the first of the year (this was in Dec.) the money I owed

was " written off " and never showed up on any credit report. I think

it pays to go directly to the hospital and try and make a deal.

Thanks for listening!

Colleen
