Guest guest
Welcome to the board DeeDee, I am on Humira and I have had some rashes. I think it was maybe the third month I was on it, I noticed a few days after that I would get a rash on my knees. It was not that irritating, and my rheumy did not seem concerned. Then a couple months later I started getting a rash at the injection site. It lasts a day or more when I get it, it's red and a little itchy. This last time I had that plus it stayed swollen for a day or so after. But nothing all over or bad enough to discuss switching to anything else. I am sorry to hear about your struggles with medication. I am lucky that my meds are working great for my RA at the moment, but I hope someday to remarry (my divorce will be final very soon) and I just don't feel like I'm done having kids yet (I am 33 and have a 4 year old little girl). I know that the next time, if I am lucky enough for it to happen, it will be a completely different ball game because I didn't have RA when I had my daughter. I'm excited to hear stories of women with RA having healthy babies. I hope other's have some advice to give you regarding the medications. But either way, stick around and you will learn a lot from this group. Jennie --- In , " deedeegreen78739 " <ddgreen@a...> wrote: > Hi everyone! I am so happy to have found this message board. Guest guest
Welcome to the group, DeeDee! Sorry you are having such problems. Have you considered using methotrexate (MTX) along with the Enbrel or Humira at any time? Since you are now returning to Enbrel after getting what sounds like a pretty significant rash from the Humira, you may find the Enbrel more effective and you may be less likely to experience an adverse reaction to it if you are taking MTX, too. I'll tell you where to go! Mayo Clinic in Rochester http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester s Hopkins Medicine http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org [ ] new to group and need information > Hi everyone!
