Guest guest
Hello to All, I am new to this support group. I was diagnosed with RA in November of 1996 & the rheumatologist conducted a special blood test because of the severity & quickness with which it came on. She suspected the parvo virus (which is air borne) & the blood work confirmed it. That's what triggered the RA. I am currently receiving Remicade infusions every 8 weeks since July of 2000 & it worked almost immediately & continues to do so. I also sought the treatment of a chiropracter at the same time. I also take 7.5 mg of metotrexate once/week as well as 2.5 mg of prednisone daily, along with prescription forms of folic acid & vitamin D. Recently I was approached by a former co-worker to check out a treatment called JMT (Jaffe-Mellor Treatment) for autoimmune diseases. Her chiropracter uses it & she thought I might look into it as an alternative treatment & get off the drugs. Has anyone out there heard of this treatment? I looked at the website & of course it only writes about the successful treatments. I haven't found any research studies to substantiate the claims. Has anyone tried it? I like to hear from you. Thanks,
