A study published in April, 2003, in the Journal of the American Medical Association showed that 47% of patients with asthma and rheumatoid arthritis improved after writing about their most traumatic events, while only 24% of those in the control group, who wrote about everyday topics, improved. “Journaling therapy should never replace a doctor’s care.
