Guest guest
Hi ette: On comfortable shoes, you might want to check out the " I Love Comfort " brand at Sears. I have been wearing them for several years now and before that my feet were in a terrible state of affairs. The normal price is around $35 to $50 a pair, but since I have discovered them, I only buy them when they are on sale anywhere up to 50% or more off, two for one, or buy two get one free...etc. I have even found coupons from $15 to $25 off in the shoe dept in Sears in magazines. When I have been lucky enough to find the coupon, I save it for one of their better sales. Also, when I find a pair that works well for me, I buy 2 or even 3 at the same time even though I don't need them at that precise time. The shoes range from sandals to business/casual dress to dress up. I hope you find what you are looking for as far as shoes. It only adds to the misery of the Auto-immune diseases if you don't have comfortable and proper shoes. Take care all....Jan (AZ momacat) ~ " We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere. Guest guest
Great shoes: I have to share good news about comfortable shoes I happen to find at Pompano Flea Market in FL. They were brand new at the Shoe Carnival Store. They are so comfortable. I've been looking for a shoe that feels like a slipper when on but is really a shoe on the outside. You can see it by going into Zapposshoe.com. I have the Natural Sport Dyan. I paid $49.95 at the flea market but am paying $63.95 ordering it. It is well worth it. They have other similar shoes but am staying with what is comfortable. It is not a dressy shoe, just great ad have had many compliments for them. I spend time scanning through notes and find we all experience the same or similar symptoms of P and PA during this journey, and look back and see learn better ways to help. These sure do help my feet and hope this info may be of help to you all. Betty back in VA from FL
Guest guest
Betty, Thanks for the shoe info. I have an awful time finding shoes that I can stand. I usually buy Easy Spirit from the outlet store, but I am going to check these out too. Janet in Ca
Guest guest
While much more pricey (running from $125-$170 a pair), Danskos have been the salvation of my feet. They can't stand anything else anymore. I bought a pair of Easy Spirit sneakers to walk at the park and they even make my feet hurt slightly. Be careful with sizing on Danskos, since they are European sizing. I normally wear a 7 1/2, but in Danskos I take a 38 (which is equal to an eight...they don't come in half sizes). I recommend trying them on in a store - and then scouring for deals on Ebay. Many people find themselves in the same boat I did, bought one pair full price...got it home and figured out they were just a little too tight and I needed to go up a size. So there are quite a few slightly used/look new pairs up for auction usually and some sellers have brand new pairs in mint condition for about half of the store price or less. Recently, I netted a brand new pair of Dansko boots for around $70. They retail for around $170. Jenn in Arkansas
