O.K.

What if your medical control says the guy should definitely be taken to

Psych. E.R. Am I supposed to detain him? I don't think so. I'm not gonna

get in a fight with a patient just to get him in the back of the ambulance.

Even if medical control says yes, the cops are gonna have to put him in the

ambulance.

Call Medical Control. Your medical director should have the last word on

this. There should be a protocol covering these instances and if not,

Med-Control should be consulted. C - Y - A ! Offer the best care you

can...
