Prednisone and the stomach?

Anyone have problems with the stomach while taking Prednisone?

It seems like my food is staying up in my stomach like a shelf!

Then there's the constipation.....

I have tried fiber, enzymes, acidopholis but have to be careful so I don't end

up in the extreme opposite of things if you know what I mean.

It does that to me too, April. One thing that I have to work is to

take my Prednisone before I go to bed. Believe it or not, it allows

you to sleep through the side effects. Except for the one that

keeps you awake!! But, by taking it at night, you fall asleep before

that little problem kicks in and you stay awake better through the

day. Hipe it helps....Marina in Ohio

When I take prednisone, I constantly feel like a tiny little rat is gnawing a

hole in my stomach. Isn't it fun? And that's at 5-10mg lately. I'm back on

for the first time in about 2 years. Cary

Took mine this morning, just had dinner and the food is just sitting there

again. I feel like someone put a rubberband around the end of my stomach before

it goes to intestines or like I swallowed my food whole.
