Guest guest
Hello again everybody, I did something weird, I was feeling cooped up indoors these last few days, so what did I do? I went for a walk, only I did something right too. I wore an old type of back brace. It kind of looks just like a corsett from the early days of the west. Yes, one of those things, it has metal stays in it, that form a good posture for the lower back. Well, I took a long walk, and when I felt the thorasic fracture begin to bother me, I'd lie down on the grass in a park in the Bronx, N. Y. for 30 minutes, I did get a nice tan, so it wasn't a total waste of a walk. The name of that park is Van Cortlandt Park in the northest Bronx. Since I began to walk for distance(it was also suggested by my pulmonologist, that I'd take walks too, to help my lungs gain some strength),and I only walked for three miles. My usual walks are from 5-8 miles each day, but with the newly diagnosed fractures, I thought it best not to over tax my back too much. My neurologist would also kill me if he knew I'd gone for a walk. I'd make one doctor happy, while making the other not too happy, you know? Well, I've done it this time, I think I'll have to park myself indoors for the next week or so, until my back feels better, and I'll have to have the T.E.N.S. unit very close at hand for the next week also. Well, if you don't hear from me for a few days, I'll be all right, I'm just following the doctors orders to a tee this time. Take care and try to feel better. sinceley, /NY
