Guest guest
June - I have no ideas but I will say a prayer that your pooling blood return to it's normal place and the infection clears up quickly. Jennie > My GP now thinks that I do not have gout but instead an infection. My bone scan shows blood pooling in both ankles and calves. I phoned Enliven and they told me to stop the Enbrel until I saw my rheumy and to keep my legs washed frequently. She said serious infections have been known to (in rare cases) to cause infection. My blood work shows high WBC and MCV. Platelet count is high as is urate. Urinalysis shows no protein, glucose, blood or nitrate. I did test positive for Leukocyte Esterase. > > I am now trying to get an appt with my rheumy (she is just getting back from vacation)but not sure when. > > , a, anyone? Guest guest
June, I would prefer to let your rheumatologist do the guessing on this one. I hope she can see you Monday. What about contacting that smart and handsome Dr. Keystone for an emergency evaluation? You've got a very good excuse to call him. I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
Hi , Dr. Bykerk works with Ed Keystone so if he is there on Monday I will probably see him. Did you know he is not much taller than me? This makes it perfect to be on the receiving end of his wonderful hugs, since are almost eye to eye. He is a real character, the last time I was in the waiting room, he came out to get a patient, spotted me on the other side of the room and came over and hugged and kissed me. He sure knows how to make this old lady feel good LOL. Hugs June [ ] June - additional info > My GP now thinks that I do not have gout but instead an infection.
