Guest guest
My rheumy has insisted since I am on the Enbrel to get a pneumonia shot, which I did last year and to get yearly flu vaccines. The pneumonia shot is good for 10 years where as the flu shot is done yearly. Guest guest
When I needed a pneumonia shot, the subject of duration came up. Some doctors believe they are good for 5 years, others 10 years, and some say they're good for life. Did anyone ever come up with a standard time interval or is it still a controversial topic? Guest guest
The doctors I work for say that if you receive the pneumonia shot after the age of 65 they consider that to be a life time. If you receive it before age 65 then every 10 years it should be redone till you reach the age of 65. Guest guest
At the hospital where I volunteer and had to get shots to do so, they said the before 65, every 10 years for most shots had to be done again and then after 65 you're okay.
