Guest guest
Althea, Enbrel was approved treat chronic, moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in April. It is the same drug that is used for RA, and for both it is a self injected subcutaneous injection. a > Is Enbrel the same stuff I am seeing advertised on tv for psoriasis > acne? > > I have been seeing ads for Enbrel - injection - that gets rid of > psoriatic acne and was wondering if this is a good side effect of > the medication that the company is exploiting or if the stuff for > the acne is actually different then the iv injection of Enbrel you > get for RA. > > Does anyone know? > > God bless, > Althea > > > > >

Guest guest
Hi Althea, there is only one product I know called Enbrel and I do know they are treating people with psoriasis with it. Hugs June ----- Original Message ----- From: blueroses11 Is Enbrel the same stuff I am seeing advertised on tv for psoriasis acne? I have been seeing ads for Enbrel - injection - that gets rid of psoriatic acne and was wondering if this is a good side effect of the medication that the company is exploiting or if the stuff for the acne is actually different then the iv injection of Enbrel you get for RA. Does anyone know? God bless, Althea

Guest guest
Althea, I have seen the Enbrel commercials. I have never seen them talk about psoriatic ACNE. But I know they advertise it for psoriatic ARTHRITIS. I can see how they are confusing. I will now have to look out for the commercial again to see the specifics. I would think it would be a pretty darn expensive treatment for acne. But there is a possibility that its an off label use for Enbrel. I looked through all my materials from Enbrel and there is nothing in there about using it to treat acne. It is treatment for adult RA, Juvenvile RA, Psoriatic Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis. I am curious now too. Maybe can find out for sure for us.
