Guest guest
Yes, it will help to meet others with pain. You will laugh, cry and understand when they talk about there life and trails. I enjoy my club till it disband, the leader moved South to see if that would help her pain. Try anything once, twice if it works. Guest guest
Steve, I belong to a local Fibro support group here in my town, although a lot of us have way more than just Fibro going on! You may be pleasantly surprised with the pain group...there will be others there who understand without a lengthy explanation what your pain is like. Also, if the group is anything like mine, the focus is on the positive, rather than just a lot of bitching and moaning. I mean, we do talk about our symptoms and difficult times, it's not the main focus of the group. I think you should give it a try...after all, no one ever said you had to go back if you don't like it, right? At worst, you will hate it....at best, you will find a place of solace. bb to you too, Jen

If you find that it is just people having a pity party, then you won't need to return. There is the possibility that there will be primarily people like yourself, who are truly looking for ways to cope. Find out who is leading the group. See what kind of background the leader has, and make your decision from there One thing I especially enjoy about this online group, is that I can pop in and out when I feel like it. But there is something to be said for " real world " human interaction. I hope they have comfortable seating. That will tell you alot about the group.
