Been on Humira since Nov. 2003 and methotexate for 4 weeks (

injectable up to .06cc from .04cc and Vioxx for pain as well as folic

acid. The same time , seemed overnight, that the pain from RA began,

April 2003, I also began with diarrhea. After a colonoscopy in Feb. a

biopsy showed Collegeous Colitis, an inflammation inside the colon. I

have been taking 9 Asacol daily and very gradually the diarrhea has

gotten under control. The Gastro feels the Methotrexate may have

helped here, but I was thankful because my next step was steriods in

high dosages to get it under control.

New problem, seemed to have become incontinent over the last few

weeks. Went to a urologist today and he feels I probably have

a " fissure " probably from the colon affecting either the vagina or

the bladder causing the incontinence. Scheduling test tomorrow, but

wondered if anyone knows anything about fissures.

I'm 57, was very healthy until last year, now fatique has really

gotten me down. Also diagnoised with thyroid problem and para thyroid

issues. Seem I'm falling apart! I work in a vets office. Have so many

specialists now that I've begun to take " fat " pens from their office

to mine because of the RA. Somehow I ended up with one that

has " Viagra " on it. A couple of people have taken that pen and then

brought it back!! LOL Guess they were embarresed! Today I asked the

urologist if I could have the " Cealis " pen and he gave it to me. At

least i can have some fun with the " good " pens. They really do help

my hands, the " fat " ones that is.
