Guest guest
Are you STILL having problems? Well, if it's not stalking, I'd at least consider it harrassment. Friend of mine was the subject of a very well-publicized stalking case (she's appeared before Congress and ona ton of talk shows...plus Unsolved Mysteries--even though the mystery is now solved). Anyway. My lawyer friend --- I LOVE THE MAN!!! Tom O' 468-2811. Not that I have the number memorized or anything. LOL Not that I'm ever in TROUBLE ... it's just easier to reach him at his office than at home! I'd recommend him to anyone. And, you don't have to be in the same area as your lawyer; he handles everything for me via phone and mail. Tell him I said HEY! Guest guest
I am still having trouble getting those soaps out of the little molds. They sat all night and all day today, and my husband I have been beating them to death. I have never had this much problem. The M & P came from Columbia Foods, and I have bought from them before and didn't have this trouble. I made some cute Easter eggs, and bunnys for my nieces and nephews that are coming tomorrow, and I guess I will have to give them the mold and all. I am going back to my CP. Guest guest
I agree with you 100%, . I don't know what's in it because I haven't seen it. But I won't buy it. Somebody's looking to make a bundle of money targeting a new market hoping that people will jump on the band wagon. I think that happens with anything "new" or popular at any given time. They'll publish it for a while, grab their money and run after about a year, I bet. -Ilion(who's been off the computer for a whole day) Re: New Mag my 2 cents TerriI agree with you there, and I cringed when I heard of this mag coming out. I have been working at my MP craft for a few years now, and,if this mag. becomes anything remotely popular, I can just about kiss my business goodbye. Not to mention a whole lot of people running out and suddenly becoming a business without **really** knowing anything about the properties of MP. I DO NOT want my soap being lumped into the same category as crap MP product --- like Bath and Body works. Will I buy it --- probably not. Doing so will only propagate its definite stay in the marketplace.G> I had to go to the store this morning with my step mom and I found the new mag in P & C> (Colleen the P & C in River Mall has it in isle 13)> > These are random thoughts here...if I repeat, sorry... I know when I was a tinkering crafter I tried all the new crafts that came out.... ceramics....femo clay...decoupage... you name it I probably tried it and I know alot of crafters that are the same way. Guest guest
Hey, G Off the oil subject, how do you melt your M & P? I was using the microwave until this week. Now I'm using a crockpot. Do you do that? I LOVE it. It keeps it at a constant temperature and I don't have to constantly run to the microwave to reheat or melt more. It's the greatest thing since sliced bread!! M Re: M & P and oils Kath, I add butters or olive oil to mine occasionally -- and sparingly. I have a tough time with it, as I prefer shea butter, and that always seems to float to the top for me. I've found that if I just buy a top-quality base then I don't have to worry about using moisturing ingredients. When I use olive oil(VERY rarely),I add 1 tbsp per 3 cups of base.maryg
Guest guest
Mare, I'm a microwave kinda gal. Easier for me, as I typically do 4 cups or more at a time; put it on half powerfor 5 minutes and voila...just the right temp and consistency. maryG (Why is it snowing here? What? Guest guest
Well, , I don't have too much experience with the craft fair business since I've only done (2) small ones last year. But, yes, I feel it's important to dress appropriately as a "business woman." In fact, when I was considering doing more craft fairs before finding out they really weren't my "gig", I was toying with the idea of having a couple of nice knit collared shirts embroidered with my "rose" insignia & company name on the chest part. Then I would wear them with something like Lee Cashual pants or shorts. Have any of you other girls thought of doing that? I still might consider it so that when I go to "call" on a store I could wear them and be comfortable. I don't see any reason why that wouldn't be "business like" enough. Do you? M Re: Bicentennial Celebratiion! BTW: what do you all wear to shows?? Just curious. I always wear a dress or nice skirt and blouse. I'm there to do business...and I just wouldn't feel right in anything else. That's just me, though. I practically live in skirts and dresses anyway -- especially since Bridget was born!mary g
Guest guest
Everyone's thoughts on " dressing the part " have been most interesting. I bought some casual T's at Sam's for $5 a piece. I embroidered " Handcrafted Soaps " beneath my business name and added lots of " bubble " circles. These shirts and a pair of dockers, casual shoes etc. set the right tone for me. I am promoting an informal or casual product. Especially good when I'm pushing our Men's Shop stuff. What a Great Day! Looks like the drought may be over. Guest guest
I guess in this world of 'business casual' I'm still too traditional. I just wouldn't feel comfortable going to a sales meeting in anything other than a nice dress and flats (havin' that baby killed the heels thing for me!). Not to say that the way other's business casual dress is wrong -- my mom's corporation is now into heavy bus. casual -- I just don't think it sets the right mood for professionalism -- but that's just me!! I'm not so sure I would take buiness casual as seriously as someone going dressed for an interview -- after all, to me....a sales meeting is like a business interview! Just my old world ideas.... Guest guest
ok guys...you are talking to an employee of the Agway corporation (for those of you who know it...it is dominated by males and very strictly white color & tie) so when Bob and I do trade shows for them I Have to wear my suits, but when I do outdoor Arts & Crafts shows and I have to stand in my Country Artist 120 degree tent all day for usually two days, I go very " artsy " and Country to exude(like that word?) my Namesake-the country Artist. I don't think in this environment I have ever seen a suit or tie unless it is the Shakley people at their tables I can see it if you are entering a fine gift shop to try to sell your wares but not at an arts " N Craft show. Guest guest
Hey, question for you. I still haven't found a good recipe I like for body sprays. Are you making yours from scratch or are you buying a "base" from a supplier? I really want to add one to my product line but just can't seem to come up with one that's decent. Can you give some info here? Thanks M Re: Ceramic Lamp Rings Terry --if you find a good deal on them, let me know! I'll go in on a buy with you. Guest guest
Hi Littermate ! I can't beleive it but you and I have lost exactly the same amount of weight! Wow, that's something! HOpe you're feeling well! I am having a ball! I love trying on clothes in stores now, because it's an adventure to see what size I wear! We'll be heading on a family cruise Jan. 3rd and I'm really looking forward to it now! Of course, I've got a way to go to be at a size I'm content to stay at, but at least I feel good physically now, and can fit in clothes that make me feel better about myself! Hope the kids are doing well! Are they looking forward to Christmas? I sure am, I'm like a kid about Christmas! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas! Love, Suzanne H. Guest guest
Dear Jennie G I'm sorry you feel that way about posts other than Ra-related subjects. This makes me one of the biggest offenders and perhaps I should cut back. I am not one who lets my feelings out on a personal nature very often. and a are always here when I need a question answered and I do comment on my overall condition. When I am in pain, believe it or not, this computer is where I feel the most comfortable. There are those who post poems, jokes and articles not only here but to me privately that help me take my mind off of my own pain. I am constantly coming across things that move me either in a thinking, humorous, or reflective way. Some things seem to come to me at a time when I able able to use it the most and I feel I have to share them in the hopes they might do the same for someone else. Some have emailed me that they enjoy what I send, however, I do realize there are quite a few people in this group that deal with the complexities of this disease differently and if my posting is a problem, I can stop and just become a lurker. This group is a support group for RA and other auto-immune diseases and I recognize that I may be adding to their problems by not sticking entirely to the subject matter. This group is a support group for RA and other auto-immune diseases and I recognize that I may be adding to their problems by not sticking entirely to the subject matter. I am dealing with some very stressful situations here with my home and this has been my escape from the resulting pain that accompanies the stress and I will try to stay more focused with the subject matters when I post. Guest guest
Jan, I enjoy your funny jokes and recipes. We all need a laugh sometime. I have fibromyalgia and sometimes the pain is so bad at night that I go to my computer to see if I can find something that will make me smile. ANd you have done it. Thank you. Especially now when I am having so many down days (very unlike me) I read one of your posts and they either make me smile, laugh out loud or give me food for thought. I don't think Jennie, in any , intended to offend you. As to my thinking, there is always the " delete " key if anyone is not interested in any post. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jan =^..^= Dear Jennie G I'm sorry you feel that way about posts other than Ra-related subjects. Guest guest
I'm curious about how long you had to stay in Costa Rica and did you go by yourself? I think going there is my best option and I've heard lots of wonderful things about them but am afraid to go down there by myself. Thanks, Gretchen
Guest guest
, The doctor has been favoring the better ear. I have never had any hearing in my right ear, so its been 33 years. A hearing aid doesn't even work on the right ear. He has said that it depends on how long you have had a loss in that particular ear. I have been using a hearing aid on the left ear for eight years now. I'm definitely going to check into it. What would be ideal or even a dream to me, would be to hear from both sides. I have never had that. But if I were to get better results by implanting the better ear, I think I would do that. Thanks for replying back and I look forward to talking with you more. --- M Jansen <nucleus24@...> wrote: > Hi , > You're in the right place for information.
