Guest guest
I am certainly sorry to hear about your wife's accident, . She will certainly be hurting for awhile. But, considering her vulnerability on a small scooter compared to the bulk and speed of an automobile, it is fortunate she is alive. And yes you are so right ... a life can be snuffed out just like that <snapping fingers>. And we never know who it will strike next. My aunt was hospitalized after breaking her hip. As her husband was walking from the Emergency Room to his car, he fell down. Uncle Fred was the sweetest guy, and he was extremely upset about Aunt Lucy's injury. So just to be safe, the doctors decided to treat it as a suspected heart attack, and they admitted him too. Sure enough, it was - and he died, whereas his wife lived on. My father became convinced at the age of 30 that he was going to die of a heart attack. He lived on for another 56 years, while all of his siblings but one died young.
