Uncovering beliefs - Money

Hi all,

So just wondering how I can be more pro-active in uncovering beliefs -

as if there aren't enough to look at already :-)

But, that said, how about uncovering beliefs around a particular area,

such as money?

Here are some of mine:

1. I need to get a job that pays enough to pay off my debts

2. I can't get paid for doing what I love

3. I shouldn't ask my parents for money

4. I shouldn't buy CDs and DVDs given my current financial position

5. I should be more responsible with money

6. I should sell stuff that I don't use to make some money

7. I need money to live

8. There isn't enough money for everyone

9. I shouldn't have spent so much money

10. The world is a less interesting place without money :-)

Good stuff - didn't think there were that many 'in here'. Number 8

hit me as a real 'sleeper' - as soon as I wrote it I could feel it go.

Hi Jon,

Good list. I'm especially interested in No. 2 I can't get paid for doing what I

love. That's a good one. I know someone who believes that if he enjoys something

he shouldn't get paid for doing it. I was very fortunate to make a good living

doing something I loved a lot. I'd turn it around to

I can't do something for a living if I do not love doing it.

I find that a lot more true especially if I want to do it well.

Money is a stressful thing..

I work for someone for 10 an hour and i dont work enough

to hardly make it but i cant get another job.. and i

cant ask for more money.. i dont feel im worth it.

that isnt true i make it because my husband works..

so i live off his money.

and i could get another job

my problem is still needing approval.. from everyone.

any ideas on working on that one..

i thought it was true but really maybe if people dont like me

i feel more comfortable.. i can keep my story .

i can keep my identity as someone unliked.. and rejected.

a role since i was very very young.

really i rejected myself and i see it reflected in people

around me.. and i know its coming from my own rejection.

If people like me i usually think they wont someday or

i imagine that they dont really like me..

i feel spaced in others business, not comfortable in a group

i end up quitting most groups.

i wonder why i do that.

Without the thought.. i love being alone.. and im so greatful

im married and my husband is my best friend..

I prefer being alone so why do i care.

TA.. I dont want people to like me..

i read spiritual books but its really an ego thing to be better.

i dont accept myself.

Hi,

How did you jump from Money is a stressful thing and job issues to I need people

to approve of me? Is there a connection between what you earn and how you think

people perceive you?

Seems to me that you've presented to distinct areas on which you could opt to do

the Work.
