Guest guest
Dear Marina: I can really understand what you are going through. It is like my own story somewhat. I am a nurse and I haven't worked in 8 years. I have RA plus many other things including a kidney transplant and a breathing disorder. When you work in a hospital they are the last people who will understand about your limitations. They want people to be as healthy as possible to take care of the patients. You have to realize that if you really are having a problem working there that probably the best thing to do is to go on disability. I didn't like to hear that either but I had to make that decision. Once you are getting disability you can always volunteer a little in the hospital if you like being there so much. However, that may change, you may find other interests to fill your time. I have. Good Luck. Sincerely, Colletti Anjillah@...

Guest guest
Cindi, My manager does have OA. She even admitted that when she does half the job that I am doing she gets a lot of aches. She admitted to having a very samll idea as to what I go through everyday. As for the 5 days, I know. I don't want to spend my weekends recovering. I am doing that this weekend. Then it's back to the grind stone!! Then, to add insult to injury, I will start call next month. Which equals longer hours. Oh, for joy!! I can hardly wait for that!! Since I went back to work last September, Employee Health has been involved trying to help me. I don't think it's working out. To tell the truth, they have been more of a hinderence than an assist. I have been telling them what they want to hear so they will leave me alone. They are the ones who asked me why I didn't just go on full disability rather than return to work!! You would think that working in a hospital there would be a little more understaning, but no, there is not. Thank you for your kind words of support. It's so reassuring to know you are out there, Cindi.....Blessed Be.....Marina in Ohio
