NEW from california, looking for support

Hello, My name is Faith. I am 44 years old. I am newly diagnosed with

autoimmune arthritis. I am from N.California ( about 50 miles south

of sacramento) and wondering if there are local support groups or any

local members from my area.

I currently am in pretty severe pain in multiple joints of my feet,

ankles, knees, wrists, hands/fingers, neck and shoulder. I am

awaiting a referral to a rheumatologist. Initial tests show I have a

significantly high rheumatoid factor among other things. I have been

started on Celebrex, also taking vicodin, awaiting that appointment.

I can't imagine feeling like this the rest of my life. How do you all

cope?
