Guest guest
For the last two years I have had very bad feet, they are completely involved, until now it was believed it was work related as I had a job where I stood all day. On Aug 27th I had gallbladder surgery, sept 29, I Had Gastric Bypass Surgery. I have a history of psoriasis and hypothyroid ( under control with levoxyl) In October I had blood tests with an AST of 274 (liver enzyme but also heart enzyme)..since have had lower numbers (75) but still elevated. ( 20 is normal). My Bilirubin is slightly elevated as well, Also my Albumin is low, urea nitrogen is high. About 3 weeks ago I started experiecing Severe pain in one knee, within days the other knee became painful, and swollen, then my knuckles became sore, with two swollen fingers on each hand, then pain started in the elbows, shoulders, neck, jaw and wrists. I went to my primary doctor Internist who made an initial diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis. and ordered more blood tests. Of those tests, Rhuematoid factor was positive ( 475), ANA Screen postive 1:80 anti- SS-A (RO), negative anti DNA AB, SED rate normal (15) ( this totally floors me with the amount of inflammation I have)How can this be? Anyway it is my understanding that Psoriatic arthritis does not usually have positive rheumatoid factor. does anyone have any impression from my profile and tests. In addition to the above symptoms I am EXTREMELY fatigued, weak, and having problems with foggy brain. The Dr. has started me on Celebrex. I am waiting for referral to a rheumy at UCDAVIS Med Center in Sacramento. I really appreciate any input anyone would have to help me understand and be knowledgable and know what questions to ask.
