Guest guest
We all have to be more careful in our compromised conditions--I didn't realize how uncoordinated and weak my hands and arms were getting until nearly dropped a pan of boiling noodles on myself because I just wasn't holding on to the pan like I thought I was. I have dropped my steam iron a few times too, so now I just don't iron any more. From now on when I boil something like noodles, I'll use a smaller pan and 2 oven mitts. Guess this is a learn as you go situation! Judi > Jan, I hope your poor toes are okay. You sure acted quickly and did the best thing by getting ice on. This type of burn can be very dangerous. If I may tell you a story of my mishap with my micro. I put a cup of water in to boil for making hot chocolate. I left the room and when I came back the water didn't look like it boiled. So I put it on for another minute. Took it out and with a metal spoon began to stir the chocolate powder, it took less than a second for the liquid to explode which then went on my hand and up my arm. Fortunately it was winter and I ran(I could run then) and put my whole arm into a snowbank which avoided blistering. Now I use the kettle to boil water. > > Hugs > June > >
