Guest guest
Hi everyone, Im sorry I havent posted in awhile, but I have been keeping up with the postings. To everyone who responded to my initial postings, thank you so much. I really do appreciate the OT discussion, some days I just don't have the time or the energy to go through all the postings. I do have a question, though. I applied for SSD very soon after I first became sick, Feb. of 2002. As I expected, since I didnt even have a diagnosis, I was turned down. In July of 2002, I hired a SS lawyer and filed an appeal. A year and a half later, Feb of 2004, I had my appeals hearing. Four month later I was sent a copy of the Judges decision, which was fully favorable, and retro active to Feb. of 2002. I have continued to follow up on it, not so much for the money but for the Healthcare Insurance coverage. Now it is the end of Aug. and I still havent heard a word from SS or Medicare. No one I have spoken to at SS can tell me much. Finally, to the question, is this just the normal bureaucratic process? The lawyers havent returned my calls. Two years after filling my appeal, and six months after getting a positive outcome seems....... ill try to be politically correct........ a hell of a long time. Thank you again to everyone one of you. Larry Ps. Does anyone know why the Arthritis Foundation, in a large major metropolitan city the size of Atlanta, doesnt have ANY support groups? Guest guest
How discouraging. You should have been able to have Medicare by July '04. Have you talked to your soc sec office or the lawyer? Yes, for me, too it was not so much about the money, but theMedicare- sad there is that 2 year wait period. - In , " Larry " <lbflex@a...> wrote: > Hi everyone, > > Im sorry I havent posted in awhile, but I have been keeping up > with the postings.
