Guest guest
Hi All, Talked to June tonite. She is a mess. 4 weeks ago she fell out of her wheelchair and it ended up on top of her. She broke some ribs and ended up in the hosp. They realized her speech was more slurred and did an MRI and CT Scan and they discovered a blood clot in her brain. They were able to remove most of it and said that the rest would take care of itself. They also told her that her acm/sm was better but in reality they hadn't done the films down far enough to see so she is waiting for another mri to be done. She has also had pneumonia and is on oxygen, has a feeding tube and pee tube and she is now in a rehab hospital. She said that she thought she would be there another 10 days to 2 weeks. They still have not found a place to live. Rene has been with Junes sister and their advocate has said that she should have a place lined up by the time June is released. Their hotel vouchers have run out though so if there is no place to move to by then, they may have to move back to New Jersey. Her uncle has offered to pay for their return there and they can live with her mom for awhile. That is not what she wants but sometimes there is no choice. Rene missed his transplant appt also so he is rescheduling that as well. Here is an address where you can send cards and letters if you would like. It is where she works and where her friend and advocate Carolyn is and she will get everything to June. June Eustace c/o Disability Center for Independent Living 5900 East 39th Ave. Denver, CO 80207-34 She said to say Hi and send her love and tell you all she's still alive and kicking and missing all of you very much. Please write to her and keep her in your prayers. They have been through so much for too long. It is time for some peace. Love Ya, Kathi Kathi/Bakersfield, CA rwdykat@...
