Guest guest
Please accept my condolences. I can only imagine what you are going through, even as I navigate my own loss. I hope you will soon be able to enjoy more memories of the times you spent with her prior to the onset of this terrible disease and that will provide you some comfort. Guest guest
Dear Dena, Your mom -and you - are in my hearts and prayers. Having read so many of your messages here, I know you have been a loving daughter and wonderful advocate for her. And how lovely to feel she slipped free of this life in a way that would spare her daughter pain. I will hold you in my thoughts in the coming days as you make plans and take the nest steps in this journey we are on with our loved ones. Lin Subject: My mom is finally FREE To: lbdcaregivers Date: Thursday, July 31, 2008, 5:03 PM Hi Everyone My mom, Margaret , passed away last night around 2 am. I was not there as I had thought I might be, but I left it all in God's hands and I believe my mom wanted to spare me anymore pain. I have been busy all day with arrangements and booking a place to have a reception etc... Lots to do. She was 85 and lived the last 2+ years with a mind that did not work at all. We had no conversation at all. She could not get any words out that made any sense at all unless someone was hurting her. I have had several melt downs and I know I will have several more. She never did officially get on to Hospice. I did lots of paperwork, but the RN did not get a chance to see her. Thank you to all of you. I never would have made it without this group to help with her care and to give me those pep talks that I really needed to get through to the next thing. Again, have a wonderful trip to Ann Arbor. I will be thinking of you all. I may be quiet for a while as family will be coming into town. So happy to know that you are okay Sandie. I know you will have a wonderful time.
