Guest guest
Hello all, I am so behind on my reading and just finally got caught up. I went to see my rheummy on friday. He did the usual bloodwork, felt around on my joints and sent me away. My neck was stiff for an entire week and friday I was dizzy every time I moved to fast. Since I had no numbness or unsual tingling he dismissed it. Didn't even give me a response as to what to do. I told him my hands and arms are always numb and tingling at times so I really would not be able to tell him if it was anything new. I also showed him a rash on my left elbow. Many months ago the same thing appeared on my right elbow and he had no clue what it was or why. This time he says he thinks it is how my body reacts to RA nodules developing. The kicker is I have no bumps or knots anywhere near the rash....so I am still wondering where these invisible nodules are?! I also discussed my increasing ankle pain..he stated no ideas except surgical achilles tendon lengthening. I told him about my severe fatigue over the past month which he gave me no feedback about. As well as my sleep issues returning. I really think the strange rain and storms here in Texas have been the cause. He did give me a prescription for a 20mg of Bextra to take daily..I have been taking the 10mgs daily for over two years now. Plus he gave me a prescription for water aerobics classes. I guess I will sign up for the next session starting in september. He then told me to call back the end of this week to get the results of my bloodwork and if my inflammation markers are up he will restart me on MTX injections. NOT!!!! I refuse to take anymore of that garbage!!!!! My appnts with this rheummy are such a waste of time and energy. I have a new internal med doc as my old one moved away. I am going to see if he can manage my RA better than the rheummy can. If so I plan to never go back to see the rheummy. Then again I many just not bother to see the rheummy anyway. Sheeesh....the only thing keeping me going back is that he is the man that fills out my disability papers. I am spending money on Enbrel that is not working..its just taking up space in my frig!!!! My future plan is to stop the Enbrel when this supply runs out. Say NO to mtx. I guess I will keep taking the Bextra as long as I can afford too. Beyond that I am doing fine. My children when back to school today. They are so excited to get the school year going. They have been at summer marching band camp now for over 3 weeks and are ready for football season to start. I am looking forward to fall coming as well. Toni
