Guest guest
Dear , Thank you so much for the kind words, this feet thing had my husband so scared at first. His father died of congestive heart failure and he had to take water pills and weigh himself several times a day. The poor man couldn't have weighed 80 lbs dripping wet. if he gained weight it was water, which meant his heart was failing. My husband still has trouble with this. I had the chief of staff of Marshfield Clinics Rheumatology Dept. try to calm him and tell him that it was not my heart. These feet get so swollen the skin is shiny and they actually itch like they will burst open and then there is the creases. My right foot gets really hot to the touch and then I know, here we go. It is now every day, they are pretty and dainty in the morning and then after I have stepped out of bed, up they go ! It helps to know that someone else gets this. I thought it was only me because of my neuropathic nerve problems that I see a neurologist for. Does that mean that some of this swelling is my RA? Gosh, you ladies help me everyday, I learn something new and don't feel so alone. i cope okay and I don't get afraid too often. But sometimes I really worry about the future. I still can only walk about 20 feet without my wheelchair. What will happen when I can't even do that? This is the stuff I think about. I can't stand on my feet long enough to shower alone. The pain is something I can't describe, you gotta be there, please, no not in my shower. Yesterday, my husband had my 21 year old son sit in the dining room while I took a shower, in case I fell. My son said MOM IF FALL DOWN IN THERE I AM JUST GOING TO DIAL 911. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE YOU NAKED! That is one I wrote in my pain Journal !!! Humor all the time or nuts would I be. Thank you again, for your post and kind words, and best of luck to you with your swelling, we could have a contest and see whose feet get the biggest. You know, like they do with pumpkins at the fair ! GOOD LUCK -- CINDI HEIN
