Jan,

You are not an offender of anything. Please don't read more into my

post than was there. I agree these posts are important for many

posters here to read, they count on them. I recall a few weeks ago

someone mentioned they hadn't seen you post much and really missed

your participation.

All I want is for there to be an " OT " in the subject line if the

post is a joke or a poem or something. I prefer to skip those, but

I do not mean for them to go away.

There are a couple reasons I posted with my request. One is that I

don't want to skip all your posts. When you post about something to

do with you or your RA, I want to read those one's. I'm here to

receive and give support. If I skip your posts because so many of

them are unrelated to RA, then I will miss what I am here for - the

posts about you and how RA is affecting you.

For the record, personal posts that do not specifically discuss the

disease are not Off-Topic. When someone posts about a family member

or something, those are still related because this is a support

group.

I usually check this board when I'm at work and sometimes from home

when I have my daughter, and I don't always have time to be clicking

on and reading jokes. It is strictly a personal preference of mine

and nothing that should lead to fewer of these posts or ANYONE

feeling that they are not welcome here at all.

I just want the OT is the subject line, really, that is all I want.

I wouldn't even have asked but it's such an easy thing to type in

the subject line when you post, I was hoping nobody would mind doing

it.

answered and I do comment on my overall condition. When I am in

pain, believe it or not, this computer is where I feel the most

comfortable. There are those who post poems, jokes and articles not

only here but to me privately that help me take my mind off of my

own pain. I am constantly coming across things that move me either

in a thinking, humorous, or reflective way. Some things seem to

come to me at a time when I able able to use it the most and I feel

I have to share them in the hopes they might do the same for someone

else. Some have emailed me that they enjoy what I send, however, I

do realize there are quite a few people in this group that deal with

the complexities of this disease differently and if my posting is a

problem, I can stop and just become a lurker.

will try to stay more focused with the subject matters when I post.
