Guest guest
Sorry you are having such a rough recovery, . I hope since you'll be resuming the use of the meds that you'll start to feel better very soon. I don't have any experience with hand or wrist surgery, but, if your physician didn't seem alarmed, I would try not to worry. That was very good typing with your left hand, LOL. Are you being waited on hand and foot? I'll tell you where to go! Mayo Clinic in Rochester http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester s Hopkins Medicine http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org [ ] update on my surgery & question > > > > hi, > > please excuse typing but doing all with left hand. first would like to send out prayers to cindi, tawny , tess and althea -just catching up on posts after my surgery. i had athroplasty on r. wrist on the 16th. had l. one done in '02 and was pleased with result. this one has taken the wind out of my sails. i was in terrible pain last week-nothing would touch it-vicodin every 4 hr. just took the edge off and then made me sick to my somach. couldn't move or wiggle my fingers until yesterday and then very little. went to ortho doc today to have cast put on and he couldn't because of swelling in fingers-they look like sausages. he tried to bend them and they are very very painful. he put me in splint w/ ace bandage and odered phys. therapy for my fingers immediately for rom and edema. he said will check in month and may still have to put cast on. i am very discouraged and want to know if anyone has had this type of surgery-doc seems to act like its normal but i am worried. > also flaring from not taking enbrel & mtx and being off naprosyn-will start that tomorrow-my spirits are low. sorry for unloading but am trying to be upbeat and it is hard. thank you all and god bless. > > nancy
