Guest guest
I'm getting tired of being tired and in pain, mostly in my arms and legs, all the time. That sounds original, huh? Anyhow, I'm taking MTX that will cause fatigue, have Fibro and RA that do the same thing, and I need to get past it somehow. I was supposed to go to the hospital today but couldn't because I didn't feel safe driving that far. I'm also supposed to go to a wedding Saturday, but don't think I can make that either. I also take pain meds, Vicadin and Darvocett, that don't seem to do the job. I wonder if they could add to my other problems instead of helping them? Any words of wisdom? Guest guest
As far as wasting time with repo-ing longer... I was told that babies aren't typically eligible for the bands until they are four months old. I understand that brachy is more difficult to correct than plagio, but you have plenty of time. Maybe some of the brachy parents can give you a bit more advice, but mine would be to not get overly worried about waiting a month or two. Our pediatrician noticed the flattening at 2 months & advised us to do lots of tummy time. 1 month later, there is no improvement so we went back & the dr. this weekend and she gave us a referral to a ped. plastic surgeon / cranio specialist who is not in our insurance plan. His website states that he uses the Starband. I've read so much about Cranial Tech that my instinct is to go with them (the Miami office is about 45 min. away whereas this dr. is 15 min.) I have United Healthcare and from what I've read, it is doubtful that they will cover this. Should I go for a consultation with both and ask the questions I found on this site and choose based on that? And are measurements taken at the consult? I have no idea how severe a case she is. I am fearful of the specialist advising I try aggressive repositioning longer and then wasting important time. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks! This is so frustrating and I haven't even begun! Guest guest
Hi and Welcome!!!! If you are paying out of pocket and you don't "need" to go to a specific place then I'd say get all the input you can and choose the best ortho for you! At 3 mo. you have so much correction time ahead of you - don't feel rushed into making a rash decision. JEN Mommy to 4...and 1 more!!!!
