Guest guest
For tennies, I like Ryka for the wide toe box. Found a pair of Easy Spirit tennis shoes at Marshalls that have been great this summer. For a comfortable dress shoe, I'd suggest the Munroe line, which I recently discovered at Nordstrom. But the most important thing is to have a good pair of arch supports, preferably custom made, to go inside the comfortable shoes! Guest guest
Hi Peggy, I also have painful feet and have found two brands of shoes I can wear: Merrell and Ugg. I have had good luck with various kinds of shoes from these two companies. The Uggs are like slippers and the Merrells provide good arch support. Some styles are more comfortable than others so try a variety. I hope this is helpful. --- In , " itsmepeggyb " <itsmepeggyb@k...> wrote: > Hello everyone, > > I would like to pick your brain. Guest guest
Peggy I would recommend Easy Spirit. They have several different styles, maybe one would suit you. I have worn them for years. Unfortunately, they changed the style slightly on the walking sneakers and the sides are higher and hurt my ankle. I have a few nuts and bolts in it from a bad break several years ago and one of the bolts gets rubbed from the sneaker. I also put those pads in the sneakers for extra comfort, so do get your sneaker a bit bigger and wider than you would normally get if you plan on putting pads in. Actually you may want to get the sneakers a bit wider anyway for the times your feet swell. It does help a lot. As for shoes.....what are those? LOL I haven't bought a pair of shoes in probably 9-10 years. They just hurt too much. Emotionally it kills me because the feminine styles are finally back. I just love the styles in the heels! Darn it! Hope you find something comfortable. in Ct.

Until recently, I didn't know that " double wide " existed, but I found some very attractive ankle high boots that are wide enough and deep enough to accommodate my arch supports--and they are surprisingly sleek-looking! Munro brand--got them at Nordstrom. (Expensive, but worth it to me to have a nice-looking pair of shoes for work.) S
