Any 'conscious' statement comes from the ego which functions thru duality, so it has to be partially true. "The Tao that can be described is not the Tao. The ultimate - in my imperfect view - cannot be known while we are in the body. The whole circle can never be known bec of pi! BUT the heart cn experience, the center wick cn hold the universal flame of Spirit, which Jung considered the goal of Individuation.

So, if I have resigned myself to defining Wisdom as knowing for CERTAIN how much we DON'T KNOW!!

*** I have studied the Alice work at the School for Esoteric studies at the UN for several years in my 30's. I also studied theosophy and anthroposophy as well. I do have some knowledge of what Alice thought and one of her books is called the Destiny of Nations; all nations not just America...Her work is vast and offers a template; a system of thought from which people can make meaning of life, just as astrology does and the teachings of all religions and philosophers, including Jung. I learned a lot and found it an important part of my spiritual path. It is not about agreeing so much as it is about the recognition of ideas that felt true for me and provided guidance and food for further spiritual exploration. Do I believe there are spiritual forces and energies beyond what we know that can guide our lives; absolutely. Would I share them or anything that was sacred to me with you on this list ....not until you grow a heart to balance the arrogance of your mind....

It is, like any fundamentalism, based in a set of idea that holds that

they represent a wholly accurate account of the workings of something.

The problem is, besides the problem of having to verify that said account

is indeed accurate, is that other people bring forth other absolute

systems that they hold to be true too. Both cannot exist together in any

real and veracious 'togetherness.' Oh, except as example of what people

believe in.

Everything else you wrote is an appeal to authority without any additional

warrants for such an appeal. It matters not that your friends adhere to

longstanding forms of anything; it matters not what they identify

themselves with; it matters not that in the light of their ignorance you

claim them to be not ignorant.

I can only go on the evidence of their assertions. For example, what

policies and events ended the depression? Why did Lincoln end slavery? So,

to offer a spiritual hidden hand along with malarkey is telling.
