Guest guest
lot of thanks, . initially i developed problem about two years back with the following symptoms i. urine stream weak. ii. frequent desire to urinate iii. low desire for sex and early orgasm. etc. urologist carried out DRE and told me that it is the problem of "enlarged prostate'".and prescribed 'PARAZOSIN" tablets ( alpha blocker) which slightly improved urination problem. My blood test show elevated PSA of 6. urologist suspects that the case may be of prostate cancer and at present i am taking antibiotec. my blood test will be examined for PSA after the completion of antibiotec course. i will also undergo for Biopsy in coming few weeks. I'd be interested in your age and an indication of the size of your prostate (is it large - this may account for some of the PSA) The PSA could also be high due to infection/inflammation. If you turn out to have PCa radiation treatment may not be the best way of treating you immediately as the effect of radiation on inflamed areas can be problematic. Have you had a biopsy and has anyone done a digital rectal examination?
