Guest guest
Greetings! I have had MANY people e-mail me and ask how I did with my plane flights to/from China. So---here it goes. I flew on Korean Air from Denver to San Francisco to Seoul, Korea. This was done on a Boeing 747-400. The flying time from Denver to Seoul was 17 hours (not including a 1 1/2 hour layover in San Francisco). I stayed on the plane in SF. As the plane was not even half full during the long flight, I managed to sleep in the back part of the plane in the middle section (there were five seats together. I just raised the arm rests, and slept). It was weird. I left Denver late on a Sunday night, and arrived in Seoul two days later (did this by crossing the international date line, and arriving past midnight). Anyway, after a four hour layover in Seoul, (and going through customs, and a pre flight luggage check to board my next flight), I switched to China Airlines, and flew on a Russian made Tupelov (sp?) 154 (Looks like a Boeing 727). 2 1/2 hours later, I was in Shenyang, went though customs, and was greeted by and . By the time I checked in at Denver International, to the time I cleared customs in Shenyang, 29 hours had past. We went to and 's, where I SLEPT! The return was not as bad. I flew from Shenyang to Seoul to San Francisco to Denver on Korean Airlines, and did not have to get off of the plane at all (from San Francisco to Denver, no one new was allowed on the flight, and I was able to clear customs in Denver). Again, I was lucky enough to be an a near empty flight (except from Shenyang to Seoul), and managed to sleep in the center section of seats. Now, what was weird, was that I left Shenyang at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday (September 20), and arrived in Denver at 6:55 p.m. on Sunday (September 20). I arrived in Denver before I left! (don't forget though, you do need to add 13 hours to make up for the time difference!) Anyway, I did manage to sleep (And yes, I brought my own pillow with me for the LONG flights! Well, chat later!
