Guest guest
I have been suffering with severe inner knee pain. I wear special deep shoes, no heels, for many years by Finn Comfort ( because they are very wide and have very comfortable orthotics ). One of the many difficulties I have with this body of mine, is that my feet tend to pronate. I would like to know, if there is any connection with the following: I have been experimenting lately, (as the knee pain has become so debilitating that I cannot walk!) and rolled up some inner padding used for the insides of winter boots, and have placed it underneath the orthotic which is inside these shoes (these shoes have no backs and so this can be done easily). I have actually lifted my heels approximately 2inches and also placed some padding where my arches are, so that helps a bit in pushing the pronation up a bit. I hope any of you can understand what I am attempting to explain.............???!!! Anyways, since I have done this I have discovered that I have a bit less pain in my knees. I have since been fooling around with the padding....making it higher, lower, more on one side, etc. etc. Has anyone ever had any experiences like this, or know what I am trying to accomplish? (I have in the past, had orthotics custom made and spent $300. several times, and they are just laying in my closet....didn't do a thing) Although this is very primitive, and do fall out when I walk, I think I am onto something!!! I am able to walk with less knee pain....... any opinions, suggestions, advice would be greatly appreciated!! I also wanted to share this with others who have knee pain. There is a definite connection to walking - and what is going on inside your shoes. 100%!!!! Hope to hear from some of you about this.
