It is an antiseizure medication and it works much better for me than Neurontin did. I take a total of 300mg of Lyrica (100mg three times a day) each day versus 2,400mg or Neurontin (600mg four times a day) each day and it works much better. I can't tell if my brain is clearer than it was on the Neurontin yet. I took Neurontin for almost 5 years, but have only been taking Lyrica for a few weeks. Anytime you have a question about a medication, just type what is Lyrica into Google, Yahoo, or Ask.com, and you can read up on it. If it is a new medication there is usually a website for it. Just go to www.lyrica.com and you can read about it. I found out about Lyrica through this group. I am very grateful to those who recommended it.
